In our neighborhood there are five Subaru owners in three houses and we all are related. Pictured left to right is Patty L., Brenda P., Steve P., Mary Ann B. (cousin), and Sally D. Of course, in Ohio whenever you have four or more people in a picture you must do the O H I O. Sally is the "!!!" point for our group.
- Steve P., Canton, OH
We bought the perfect accessory roof top tent so we can drive in the carpool lanes in busy Southern CA traffic and have a great camp experience when we arrive. Of course, the dogs love the "doggie door" from the cab out to the truck bed — you can see Daisy watching me take a picture of our first campsite. Included in our camping gear is our 1974 Honda ST90 bike; it looks very good in the Baja.
We're already debating which model is the next car in our fleet — we also own a 1967 Mustang convertible, a 2005 Lotus Elise, and a 1958 Triumph Station Wagon. The Baja keys always get grabbed first.

Driving in Severe Weather: Blinding Sun!
Part 4 in a series.
It may seem surprising to consider that a bright, sunny day could place you in a dangerous situation behind the wheel. Even when the weather is picture-perfect, as the sun rises, moves across the sky and then sets, many drivers suddenly discover that they're driving blind.
Traffic safety experts suggest following these common-sense guidelines to help lower your risk of an accident.
Wait it out. Can't see? Don't drive. Safely pull over to the side of the road and wait until your view of the road improves.
Slow down. If you feel you can proceed safely, don't be a lead foot. Proceed with caution.
Keep your windshield clean. A dirty windshield can intensify glare when the sun's rays illuminate dust particles, smudges and streaks.
Wear eye protection. Invest in a pair of polarized sunglasses to provide some relief.
Be visible. Turn on your vehicle's headlights to help oncoming drivers see you.
Plan a better route. Routes with tall buildings and trees may offer some protection from the sun. Drive on north-south streets until you find a better-protected east-west road.
Did You Know?
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation, glare is the official cause of only a fraction of fatal crashes across the country - 195 in 56,793.
