What's New & Why It's For You

Spring 2015

At Subaru, we realize our toughest critics are not the press – they're our current owners. We often hear how Subaru owners love their vehicles because they deliver a unique mix of performance and safety, style and comfort. Now, with the introduction of the all-new 2015 Legacy, Subaru adds a new level of technology, style, and luxury to those trademark traits.

And, yes, the press likes the 2015 Legacy, too:

"… the 2015 Legacy remains the only vehicle in the segment to offer standard all-wheel drive while still returning up to 36 mpg on the highway (on par with most front-wheel drive competitors). This unique powertrain story coupled with a higher-quality interior, attractive pricing, and relevant in-vehicle electronics have elevated the Subaru Legacy into a genuine competitive posture with entrenched nameplates like Camry, Accord, and Altima." – Kelley Blue Book®

A SENSE OF CONFIDENCE SECOND TO NONE

For 2015, Subaru engineers refined the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system with Active Torque Split, sending additional torque to the rear wheels either proactively or in response to front-wheel slippage. This optimizes traction and steering response when accelerating through a turn, particularly on slippery roads.

Another addition, Active Torque Vectoring, has been incorporated into the Vehicle Dynamics Control system. If it detects the vehicle is turning too wide (understeering), it can apply brake pressure to the inside front wheel, while providing more torque to the outside wheels to help improve cornering.

Another feature that sets the Legacy apart from its peers is Subaru EyeSight2 Driver Assist Technology. Developed by Subaru engineers, it's the most significant leap in crash prevention since the introduction of Symmetrical AWD. This Driver Assist Technology utilizes Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-collision Braking, Pre-collision Throttle Management, and Lane Departure and Sway Warnings to monitor the road ahead and proactively reacts if a collision is imminent. Subaru models equipped with optional EyeSight receive the highest possible rating for Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) front crash prevention.

ADDED LUXURY

When you take a seat in the new Legacy, you immediately sense a new level of luxury and interior refinement. It's the roomiest Legacy ever, with the largest passenger cabin in the midsize segment,3 giving you more shoulder, hip, elbow, and leg room.

The interior adds new soft-touch materials, thicker cushioning for the armrests and center console, and new trim styles that give the Legacy a more premium feel.

Looking for even more luxury? The Limited models offer the highest level of luxury, including perforated leather upholstery, 2-position memory for the 10-way power driver's seat, 4-way power front passenger seat, 3-mode heated front seats (also standard for Premium) and dual-mode heated rear seats, rear seat air conditioning vents, and a premium surround-sound audio system with 12 Harman Kardon®4speakers.

THE 2015 LEGACY – DRIVE ONE, THEN DECIDE

The all-new 2015 Legacy delivers a strong sense of confidence, its own unique style, and a long list of awards. But the proof is in the driving experience. Visit your Subaru retailer and discover for yourself.
