Subaru Rally Team USA Retains Rally America National Championship

 

For the second year in a row, Subaru partner Vermont SportsCar with driver David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew has won the Rally America National Championship. Headquartered in Colchester, Vermont, the team fields Subaru Rally Team USA for Subaru.

 

Higgins/Drew locked up the championship after only five of six rounds in the stage rally season. They were on the podium all six rounds – two first-place and four second-place finishes.

Fifth Annual Subaru Fall Festival Held at Greensgrow Farms

 

On the first Saturday in October, Philadelphia’s Greensgrow Farms held its Fall Festival. Greensgrow – a leader in urban farming – celebrates the harvest season with this festival, which included local fresh food, crafts, farmer’s market, and activities. Among the day’s highlights were a chili competition, face and pumpkin painting, gardening and crafts demonstrations, live music, food vendors, and more.

Subaru Trek Mountain Bike Team Update

 

The Subaru Trek Mountain Bike Team finished the year with four riders in the top five spots of the final standings for the Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour (Pro XCT). Sam Schultz claimed second, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski third, and Russell Finsterwald fifth for the men; Heather Irmiger was second for the women.

 

In addition, the team sent two members to the Olympics: Sam Schultz finished 15th and Emily Batty, who suffered a broken collarbone in an on-course fall days before the event, finished 24th. Read more about the road to the Olympics in Summer 2012 Drive.
